Mrs. Alice Nordman, Chairperson The Formation Committee of St. Joseph Catholic Church advocates the vision of faith formation and education in the parish. It upholds the teaching of Catholic believes, traditions and values in the context of deepening spirituality and lifelong religious formation. Life Long Formation and Education / Formación y Educación por Vida Adults / Adultos Religious Education Classes are offered from December to April at 11:00 a.m. Themes: Liturgical Year, The Bible, The Sacraments Books Discussion by Fr. Jerry Eifler/ Discusion de Libros por Padre Jerry Eifler Religious Education / Educación Religiosa St. Joseph offers Bilingual Religious Education for the acraments of First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation. Classes begin on the first Sunday of December at 11:00 a.m. in the Educational Center. It is required that Parents attend the Adults Religious Program at the same time. Registration is during the month of November. Classes for Grades 1-8 are held weekly, on Wednesday evenings 7:00 -8:15 p.m. from late August through May, at Our Lady of Lourdes (OLL). To register call Ann Pifer at 896-0241. The parish is willing to pay a percentage of the fee for registered parishioners. Day Care / Cuidado de Niños(as) After School Care is provided for elementary school children up to 6:00 p.m. Summer Program designed for four through thirteen year olds is offered with sufficient enrollment. At OLL: Eucharist preparation is two years (Grades 1 and 2). Reconciliation is celebrated in Grade 4 and Confirmation preparation is two years (Grades 7 and 8). Our children enrolled at OLL are strongly encouraged to celebrate their sacraments at St. Joseph.
State certified preschool program (7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) is available from two to four year old children during the school year. Additional after school care is offered from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
